A man is found murdered at a Lewis Carroll costume party. All clues point to the guest dressed as the Mad Hatter… but Murdoch was the Mad Hatter.

After becoming so bored and disenchanted with the type of programming and outright rubbish that I’ve watched on the television for so long, it was an absolute thrill to come across Murdoch Mysteries. While channel surfing I had seen the title many times but never thought to look at it. Then a friend told me about it and I watched an episode. I am now hooked! It is the best TV program I have ever experienced. It’s so refreshing to be able to watch a program that showcases the decency and respect that people used to have in their interactions with one another. And now I hear the series is ending! This is heart breaking! Why would you cancel a program that has so many followers. And I’m sure there are many more, like me, who would become loyal fans once they’ve experienced the show.

It was a surprise to hear that Murdoch, probably the best Canadian show on TV, was going to end. The only reason I am not complaining is that another network (I hope) will be continuing the program.

one question..if i go with some friends to a party and one feels sick we don?t leave him/her alone or just leave him sleeping when we go back to our homes...the sick one comes with us and we take him/her to her house and make sure he/she feels better than before.Well the marriage...there is no way...it is a movie.

I was shocked to see how the series ended, i really thought that william would have gone and stopped julia from marrying darcy. in one scene i was convinced they had got back together as they were getting quite passionate then realised it was a dream, i hope there is going to be a 5th season of the series and that maybe william and julia will be together i still watch the series even though its re-runs so please hurry up with the next one its also nice to see english actors popping up in murdoch.loves yannick too.

While I was a little shocked and distressed that Murdoch lost his sweetheart, Dr Ogden, it does serve as a catalyst for change to his character. It provides the opportunity to explore the more complex bits and personal growth of the Inspector. Would William have wrestled with this conscience and freed Ava, a woman who had suffered such grievous harm, on another day? Doubtful. I hope we have not seen the last of Julia, a woman before her time, who is a delightful contrast to her replacement an arrogant (male) doctor. I think it is a great show and well acted and I enjoy the glimpses of T.O. from yesteryear.

I wanted to throw something through the screen at the end! Even now I can't bear to watch past episodes knowing Julia appears to be "out". But I hold onto two things. (1) Murdoch, in setting free the woman, had to act quickly to put true justice ahead of simple legalities--a HUGE moral growth for him--and put principle ahead of his personal interests. (2) In a past season, a fortune teller said Murdoch WOULD be with Julia one day, but "it would cost him everything." Maybe by next year I'll be over my disappointment in the season ending...or maybe the series just lost a devoted fan. In any case, I think Murdoch has been an emotional coward and more hard-edged this season; I've lost respect for him in some ways.
