Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali return to the original school of hard knocks when "American Gladiators" returns with a two-hour special on Monday, May 12 8pm, 7 Central on Citytv.


Now in its second season, American Gladiators brings even more thrills and raises the bar for this season's competition.


The competitors are amateur athletes - at the top of their game - who face off against 12 new Gladiators in a David and Goliath style battle. Six men and six women make up the team of action-adventure stars prepared to stop at nothing to destroy the competition. As each challenger prepares to go head to head with a villainous Gladiator, the viewer gets an inside glimpse into their world as they train for their match.


This edition of American Gladiators, the competitors will be facing seven new challenges not seen before: TILT, ATLASPHERE, ROCKETBALL, SIDESWIPE, SNAPBACK, VERTIGO, and SKYTRACK.


Tune into the two-hour premiere of American Gladiators on Monday, May 12. Then, catch all of the action weekly starting Mondays at 8pm, 7pm Central on Citytv stations across Canada.
