Mike was born and raised in Wawanesa, Manitoba, where his interest in writing and telling stories began.
He graduated in 1997, from Red River College with a Journalism degree in Creative Communications. After completing college, he started his career at CKX-TV in Brandon, where after four years he decided to move to the Manitoba capital, and report in the Winnipeg market. His love of the prairies soon lead him west to Calgary where he found greater appreciation for the Rocky Mountains.
Mike has always had a real fascination with the latest gizmos and gadgets, and a keen interest in the latest technology trends. Some of those trends include taking a look into the darker side of technology, including hacking.

Journalism Degree from Red River College.
Extracurricular:
Mike loves running, mountain biking, hiking, camping and paragliding.
