The series is shot without a script; the cast which includes Jeff Garlin (as manager Jeff Greene) and Cheryl Hines (as wife Cheryl) along with various guest celebrities playing themselves or character roles, are given scene outlines and often improvise lines as they go. The result is an unpredictable, witty and fresh comedy that's unlike anything else on TV.
