The Mooney Family
Nicola (32) and James (34) Mooney have been a couple for six years, but they’ve known each other their whole lives.. They both grew up in Calgary, attended Sunday School together, and lost touch, but when they moved back to town after post-secondary studies, they found each other through softball and have been together ever since. They live in Calgary with their two daughters Maggie (2) and Lyla (2 months). Nicola is on maternity leave from her job as an account manager and James is a financial advisor. They want to be part of MY RONA HOME because, win or lose, it is an experience they would love to look back on, and ultimately so that they can afford their dream of raising their kids in their own home.
Episode 10: The Finale
For James and Nicola this has been an incredible experience. They’ve made new friends, learned so many new skills and learned about themselves too. James and Nicola feel this has made their relationship even stronger and they hope that everyone who watched the show enjoyed it as much as they did. It wasn’t always easy but they strongly believe that, in life, you have to take chances when you get the opportunity.
