It seems a lot of candidates are using Facebook in Calgary to get their message across and maybe even generate some votes. Several Municipal candidates are turning to Social Networking sites as another way to promote their platform. 19 year old, Jeremy Zhao, who is running for Mayor, has about 130 supporters on Facebook. Alderman candidate Brian Pincott has almost 300 potential voters signed on on to his Facebook. There are several others that are using it as well, from Mayoral candidate  Alnoor Kassam, to Alderman candidates such as Carol Newman, Jim Stevenson and Joe Ceci.
In Calgary there are 250,000 people on the Social Networking site. So it will be interesting to see if Facebook hits translate into votes.
