City Style: Calgary's Next Top Model
She was a one of the ten contestants on Canada's Next Top Model, and she was discovered right here in Calgary.

Gina's fresh face may have caught the judge's attention, but she didn't win the competition. That didn't stop her form having a future on the runway.

"You don't want to live with regrets. If you are given an opportunity, you want to pursue it," says Gina Guimont.

Pursue it she did. That experience of being on a national reality show opened a whole new world for Gina, who started out working in the oil and gas industry.

"It's been a huge change; I mean it's a polar opposite. Oil and gas to modeling full-time. It's a huge change," says Guimont.

Canada's Next Top Model has launched her career to new heights and it all began her when a local modeling scout discovered her while she was shopping.

"She was in there shopping one night and I was there and we bumped shoulders. I approached her as any good model scout would do," says Maxwell Bracey from Numa Models.
