It's soooo pretty you will actually look past the price tag... for a bit.

We've seen our fair share of thin tvs hitting the market over the past year, but no one can compete with Sony's latest offering. It's called Organic LED. By pressing organic material between two pieces of glass Sony has created a tv screen that's only 3 millimeters thick. Put three credit cards together and that's how thick the screen is.
The picture quality is truely stunning. Never before have we seen black levels as dark as the XEL-1. It boasts a contrast ratio of 1 million to one, meaning it is one of the few tvs on the market that can show true blacks. When black appears on the screen virtually no light is given off. It makes for a stunning visual experience. It's like seeing HD for the first time all over again.
However, one can't overlook the tv's small size. At 11 inches it won't be replacing the tv in your home theatre anytime soon. The other reason many won't be running out to buy this model? The price. The XEL-1 retails for $2499.99. Yes, you read right. An 11 inch television...for $2499.99. It's a bitter pill to swallow.
Early adopters will be all over Sony's latest innovation but it's far too small and too expensive for main stream consumers. Larger models are expected within the next year but you can bet they too will be pricey.
