Farmers Start Up the Season
Spring has finally arrived and farmers are planting as fast as they can.

With winter now behind us, farmers across Alberta are taking to their fields for some spring time seeding.

They're busy preparing their land, cultivating it for optimal crop growth and farmer Lynn Jacobson says it's easy to see why.

"Things are looking very good this year. The price is up for most of our commodities, so we're looking forward to finishing seeding."

The farming community is enjoying high prices for oilseed and grains but high input costs for things like fertilizer and fuel have raised the cost of raising a crop.
