It tops out at 120 km/hour and goes from 0-85 km/hour in six seconds, not all that impressive until you see it.
It's a solar powered car which was built with financial backing and the help of volunteers from 23 countries.
Marcelo de Luz is the man behind the wheel and he's driving it from Buffalo, New York to Inuvut, North West Territories in the hope to get people to think about clean energy.
"We're all waiting for the government to save the planet for us it's not going to happen. I believe here is the technology that is clean and sustainable but we lack the political will, " says the Torontonian with a green concience.
He's twenty days into the adventure, he believes he can do the rest of the journey in forty days, but admits it will be tough going north.
"The sun is low on the horizen and there's 750 km of gravel road, " says De Luz, but he admits the adrenaline is part of the reason he's committed nearly three years to the project.
