Motel Stabbing in NW Hotel
Police and EMS responded to an apparent stabbing and possible illegal confinement in the 5000 block of 16 Ave NW yesterday morning.

The Calgary Police said that the man had suffered several injuries besides having what appeared to be a stab wound, but nothing had been confirmed and police are still trying to determine circumstances surrounding the attack.

Although emergency teams arrived at around 10:13 a.m., police said that the man had been there for a longer period of time, though it isn't known how long.

Several occupants of a nearby motel were taken in for questioning at the time of the incident but no charges have been laid. The unidentified male victim was transported to Foothills Hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition.

Anyone with information regarding suspicious activity in this area that morning is asked to call Detectives Taylor and Arcega at 403-567-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
