1. If you forget to apply your hair gel, paste, mud.etc. You can use a little lip gloss. This is made for topical use on lips so it won't cause any problems to hair or scalp. 2. For an amazing deep conditioning treatment, apply 2oz of Coconut Oil to the hair, put a shower cap on and leave for 1 hour or overnight. Coconut Oil is sold in health food stores and is safe for internal and external use. It is also delicious for cooking and treats excema and other skin conditions when added to your diet. 3. If you have a sensitive scalp when applying hair color. Try adding 2 packets of artificial sweetener to the formula. This product is also made for internal use. I have done it many times and it works great, many people in my industry use this trick. 4. Hair conditioners make fantastic replacments for mink oil and other products used for leather shoes, boots.etc also helps remove salt stains without damaging. 5. When doing hair conditioning or detoxifying treatments at home, spray the inside of a shower cap with water, place it on your head over the product and heat for 2 minutes with blow dryer. This "steams" the product for better results. 6. To remove hairspray or chlorine build-up from the hair, make a thin paste of distilled water and baking soda, apply to area with build-up. This works as well as anything I've ever tried to detoxify the hair. 7. Use plain vinager as a conditioning treatment. The acidic PH level smooths any rough areas of the cuticle of the hair and adds shine. Shampoo and use a regular conditioner after this and there will be no residual odor. 8. If your haircolour has gone too dark on the ends, apply a small amount of regular dish soap to affected area. The high PH of the soap will gently remove some of the color build-up. 9. Good quality conditioners and treatments are usually excellent for shaving. 10. To get rid of static in your hair during the winter months, rub an unscented dryer sheet on your brush and give your hair a couple of strokes. This works like magic. |
