This makeover was done by Grace Tartaglia of Image Makeover and makeup artist Kirk Brierley of Roc.
Grace – Well I think we’re going to giver her an intense dose of style. I love the bob, it works for her face but I think it can be kicked up a notch. She’s interested in something new and fresh for the New Year and that’s what I’d like to do for her. So I’m going to put more texture, reshape the nape, give her a little more volume and reframe around her face. It’s going to be easy, fun to do. How short? Well we’re taking it shorter at the back, we’re going to leave some long pieces in through the sides, not short short but feminine short, and there is a difference.
Kirk – She has the most beautiful green eyes and I have to tell you that line that Grace used, that intensive dose of style, well, I have to take my queue from that. She had the most lovely makeup on when she arrived but I had to take it off. We’ll be taking the queue from the colors of my sweater which will bring out the green in her eyes and it’ll still work nice with what she is wearing, basically we’re bumping it up a notch.
Grace – I wanted to give Natalie an easy to style haircut, that intensive dose of style that we talked about. I think we accomplished that by texturizing it and reshaping it around her face, her nape shows better, she has a beautiful profile and it’s lighter and easier now to work with.
Kirk – She has beautiful eyes and I played off of them. With green eyes you want to use berry tones, the lilacs, the purples and mauves because that helps the eyes pop. She has fabulous lashes and we helped emphasize them and topped it off with a pink lip.
