What to look for:
- Buy brushes made from natural bristles such as pony, goat, sable or squirrel. Natural hairs get softer and more pliable over time.
- Natural bristles feel soft and silky to the touch and have a dull glow.
- When you spread the brush the bristles should have a very fine point.
- Synthetic brushes are stiff and can have a glossy sheen.
- Use synthetic brushes to apply concealer, lip makeup or cream based makeup.
