Who knew the great outdoors could be so fun?
A couple of months ago some enterprising CityLine producers thought it would be great to get our viewers to embrace the cold by doing a show live at the Village at Blue Mountain.
If you are from outside of the Toronto region…this is as close as we get to the Rockies over here in flat-land…so we love Blue Mountain.
After weeks of location scouting, story and shot blocking and promo-shooting it was suddenly Friday, February 4th – the big day.
You didn’t disappoint!
Hundreds of you came out to keep us warm and watch our shenanigans…and there were many.
Michael Bonacini got a snowball in his head, Patrick Reynolds stripped, Ramsin got his butt kicked in a race (by yours truly), Lisa Rogers took Michael Bonacini’s clothes off and Kimberley Seldon carried her lovely pup (CityLine’s future mascot?) Delaney, in a doggy fashion show.
Despite the superfluous striping, this event was all about family and friends…and it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
So please enjoy this behind-the-scenes video of Kimberley and I taking the ski lift up the mountain (I was terrified). And all of the pictures we could gather together to give you a sense of what went down that day.
Here’s to many more opportunities to meet you folks.
And for those who missed it…make sure you come out next time!
