Remember me?
Six weeks ago I rolled out of the Citytv studios two days before having baby #2 who you now all know as Eva Simone. Because the time was short I spent most of my maternity leave staring into her little face (while shielding my ears from that piercing newborn scream -- you know the one).
Having Lio by my side has felt self-indulgent at times. Lots of time for nursing and napping.
And this will continue of course, with one small interruption every morning. I am back hosting CityLine again and after finishing week #1 I've got to say it feels great. Okay, catching only four hours of sleep last night doesn't feel all that awesome?but there are some excellent trade-offs to being back on the show:
Firstly, I am wearing pants with NO elastic in the waist (This is huge. Thanks Freda's).
Secondly, the football player-esque black bags under my eyes have all but disappeared with the help of professional makeup (thanks Tracy P).
Thirdly, my hair is glossy and flat-ironed rather than splaying out of a dirty scrunchie (thanks Janice).
Finally, and most importantly, I have the distinct pleasure of looking into the camera lens every morning and feeling your warm vibes coming right back at me. It feels good, trust me.

But words can only go so far, so to show you how happy I am to be back we've got some amazing stuff happening on the show this week. If you're in the audience on my first day back you're going to have an extra special way to keep in touch with family and friends this Thanksgiving weekend.
I can't say any more -- just watch!
And if you're at home watching from your living room / basement / kitchen / pool (pool? Who are you, Rockefeller?) you will be equally pleased when we show you how to make a Thanksgiving turkey in way under seven hours, how to carve that same bird and how to dress your front entranceway so that your guests think they're walking into a Gluckstein establishment rather than your humble abode.
Seriously.
Tuesday there are three stunning makeovers and Carmindy from TLC's What Not To Wear stops by with makeup tips; Wednesday we try to get your babies to sleep (clearly I need some help in this category); Thursday we make your beds all fancy and Friday we dress you head-to-toe in sexy hosiery and boots to kill.
I told you it's a good week -- and this is just the beginning.
