Tracy Moore
As host of CityLine, Canada’s longest running lifestyle show, Tracy is known for her contagious smile, easy laugh and love of fashion, fitness and all things shoe-related.
Tracy brings her energy and enthusiasm along with her charismatic personality and flare for style to CityLine - Canada's top source for the latest in home decor, food, fashion, health and beauty. This multi-tasking, modern day mom is host of the longest running and most successful daytime show for women in Canadian history, currently in its 25th year.
Born in Toronto and raised in Richmond Hill, Tracy Moore worked her way up the media ladder to her current position as host of CityLine, a job she calls the TV job of her dreams! According to Tracy, interacting with the live-studio audience is best part of her day “The CityLine audience rocks; they even loan me their hand lotion when I’m desperate!”
A little hard work and whole lot of personality saw Tracy advance through various positions including back-up host and anchor at well known Canadian media outlets before joining Citytv’s Breakfast Television as a live reporter in 2005. Within months, Tracy was backing up BT’s lead news anchor in addition to covering live breaking news events.
What followed was Tracy’s most significant life change to date, the birth of her son Sidney in April 2008. According to Tracy, “returning after maternity leave to a position like hosting CityLine was an incredible way to return to the work force.” Tracy has since given birth to another child, a baby girl named Eva Simone, who was born in August of 2010.
Tracy admits to learning a lot in the areas of décor, food, fashion, health and beauty, from the impressive group of guest experts on CityLine and implementing more than a few tricks of the trade beyond the CityLine set. “Whether you’re an experienced décor maven or a just starting out in the kitchen, there is something for everyone on CityLine.”
A self-professed shoe-a-holic, Tracy cites Drew Barrymore’s fashion versatility as a major style influence “Drew can kick butt in a motorcycle jacket and boots but she cleans up gorgeously at the big awards shows.” Tracy’s style advice – dress for your own body and forget the trends.
If she wasn’t working in television, Tracy would most likely be involved in community level development working with youth in disadvantaged areas or with young girls building their self-esteem. Tracy currently works with the Girls on The Run, an organization which allows girls to focus on activity and sports rather than beauty and appearance, by hosting their annual graduation run. Recently Tracy and the team at CityLine took part in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, raising awareness and walking 60 kilometres in two days. Touched by heart disease in her own family, Tracy is thrilled have been a part of The Heart Truth Fashion Show for the very first time this year.
