Kirk Brierley
Started in the cosmetic industry in the early 1990s, as the counter Manager for Clinique at Eaton’s Eaton Centre in Toronto. As the highest volume Clinique counter in Canada, this was quite the first experience at looking after customers with their cosmetic needs. Clinique is known for its superb training and attending those sessions confirmed that getting into the training side of the industry was the direction I wanted to go in.
As a result, I joined Elizabeth Arden 6 years later to take on the role of regional Trainer for Ontario. It was in this capacity that I fine tuned my make up artistry skills. Over the 11 years at Elizabeth Arden, I took on added responsibilities including acting as spokesperson for the brand and its fragrance brands with the press, and selling product on The Shopping Channel.
During that time, I have become a regular guest makeup expert on the City TV program, Cityline, appearing on makeover Madness Wednesdays and Fashion Fridays.
Most recently, I joined Johnson and Johnson, to oversee the training of the RoC skincare brand. This offers the opportunity to present a more scientifically based brand, and work with web based training programs.
I love the cosmetics industry because of its ever changing products, technology, fun factor, and opportunity to influence the way we look at ourselves. No two days are ever the same!
