Materials:
-Benjamin Moore’s Aura interior matte paint in “Ash Blue”
-Benjamin Moore’s Aura interior matte paint in “Ultra White”
-Benjamin Moore’s Aura interior matte paint in “Black Knight”
-Pre-gessoed artist canvas
-Digital camera
-High density foam roller and tray
-Artist brush
-Scissors
-Pencil
-Painter’s tape
How To:
-Basecoat the canvas with your colour of choice (“Ash Blue” was used for this project)
-Using a digital camera, take a profile photo of your subject
-Enlarge and print the image in black and white on 11”x17” paper (can be done at your local office supply store)
-Carefully cut the profile out with scissors, and then using a pencil, trace the silhouette onto the canvas
-Fill the image in with “Ultra White” using an artist brush
-For added detail, tape the bottom corners off with painters tape and fill in with “Black Knight” to create the look of antique photo corners
