Coats for Kids & Families is an initiative of United Way (specifically, United Way's InKind Centre) that asks our community to donate new or gently worn winter coats. They are distributed to those who would otherwise have to brave Alberta's cold winter without a warm winter jacket. In 2005, more than 14,000 coats were collected in the Capital Region. This year, 16,000 coats are needed in our community, and that's where Nancy comes in. She's here to get the word out, and tell us how we can all pitch in. It's easy! Simply bring a new or gently worn winter coat to any Page the Cleaner or Sleep Country location in Edmonton, Sherwood Park or St. Albert, and make a real difference this winter!
