McLellan On Alberta

Alberta's lone Liberal incumbent is insisting this province matters to her party. Anne McLellan is unveiling what she's calling a "Made-In-Alberta Agenda."
"I think it's too easy in this province to dismiss the role of the Government of Canada," says the Edmonton-Centre candidate.
The agenda talks about helping farmers and developing alternate sources of energy.
Bottom line, McLellan says this is work her party's been doing since the last election.
But some question the timing of McLellan's announcement. They wonder if Alberta is so important to the Liberal party, then why didn't Paul Martin announce this agenda when he was in the province this weekend.
"We had Stephen Harper here this weekend talking about policies and talking about what matter to Albertans, he wasn't in Ontario," says Edmonton-Strathcona candidate Rahim Jaffer.
The New Democrats call the agenda more of the same.
