Missing Mom
The family of missing single mom is plastering the city with posters hoping someone will tell them something about her mysterious disappearance. Sangeeta Khanna hasn't been seen since Monday.
Sangeeta Khanna's family hopes she will be recognized on posters they have put together. "As the time goes by, we are getting really really worried and concerned something serious has happened to her," said Krishna Mohan, Khanna's older sister.
Khanna vanished Monday. The single mother called her 15 year old son to say she'd be home after stopping off at the bank. Khanna never showed up. The next day police found her abandoned vehicle in her bank parking lot. "We are scared," said Romesh Mohan, Khanna's brother in law.
Now friends are putting up posters on power poles and store fronts on the south side. "She like a sister to me, we're bewildered right now with what's going on," said Dee Bhasin, a family friend of Khanna.
Police say they have found no evidence of foul play where her abandoned vehicle was found but family and friends say khanna would never leave her 15 year old son. "It's not like her at all, she's a very responsible person," said Mohan.
Khanna is divorced. Her ex-husband and a male acquaintance were questioned and released. Family and friends are keeping their hopes high. "My plea only is, if anybody has seen or even Sangeeta you are listening or watching this, just come back we will look at this as a bad dream that's it," said Krishna Mohan.
Khanna's 15 year old son is staying with relatives. Police are releasing the description of khanna's purse. It's a medium sized dark brown leather purse with two straps and pockets on the side. She had it with her when she disappeared.
