Bobby Curtola is Canada's original teen idol and marked many Canadian firsts in his day. He was the first Canuck to earn a coveted gold album in 1966 and the first to land a long-term contract in Las Vegas.

More recently, he helped Alberta mark its centennial anniversary with a live performance at the legislature.

Curtola may have been born in Ontario, but he lived in your city for a while and his son still calls Edmonton home.

Click on the "Watch Video" link for an invitation into his son's kitchen to whip up a secret family recipe.
