Ceapro Inc. is just one of a few biotech companies that made it onto Alberta Venture Magazine's list of the Fastest 50 Growing Companies. The small company has turned oats into a multi-million dollar business.

Ceapro's animal health care line has been flying off the shelves in Canada and overseas for over 10 years. The oat ingredient it contains reduces itching and irritation and is also found in popular cosmetic products like Aveeno's body care line and Neutrogena's anti-wrinkle creams.

Taking the natural ingredients out of oats is nothing new, but Ceapro's lead over competitors is the speed and quantity it can extract these active ingredients.

The patented extraction process has turned them some big profits. Last year Ceapro's revenues were up 30 per cent raking in just over 2.5 million dollars.
