He's a business school drop out turned music video director. Now he's rubbing shoulders with some of the best in the music biz.

In this edition of "Celebrity Chefs," Edmonton's own Michael Maxxis tells us how he cooked up a deal with the band "Ours" and managed to get the New York group to come all the way to Edmonton to shoot their next video.

Ours will be in town shooting their music video for the rest of the week. On Thursday, September 13, you can catch Jimmy's special acoustic solo performance at Jeffrey's Cafe at 9:00 PM.

Jimmy Gnecco's Favourite Mashed Potatoes

Peel potatoes.  Cut into small pieces.  Boil in one bottle of beer and two cups of water.
Add a teaspoon each of finely chopped garlic, chives, and shallots, as well as a touch of celery seed, dill, and black pepper.
Add a tablespoon of non dairy no animal product butter alternative.
Boil until soft enough to easily send a fork through.
Drain well.

To make broth to achieve gravy like flavour within the mashed potatoes, add two cups of plain soy milk, two tablespoons of butter alternative, a teaspoon of finely chopped garlic, chives, and shallots.  Warm in small pot until near boil.  Add mixture to the potatoes, mash, then eat.
