The massive recall of food possibly contaminated with Listeria bacteria is expanding. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Calgary-based Lucerne foods is recalling more than two dozen varieties of ready-made sandwiches that may contain products from Maple Leaf Foods.

The sandwiches are available in Alberta and Saskatchewan at Safeway and Mac's convenience stores. They could contain deli meat from the Toronto plant identified as the source of the bacteria. There have been no reported cases of sickness linked to the sandwiches. So far federal officals are blaming six deaths on the Listeria outbreak. 29 other cases are under investigation.
