In the month of December, The Calgary Food Bank provides up to 600 food hampers per day. Help Citytv ensure they can continue to meet the demand for quality emergency food.

Fame for Food was created in 1997 in the spirit of giving. The program offers members of the public, as well as companies, groups and non-profit organizations the opportunity to record a greeting to air on Citytv and at www.citytv.com in exchange for food or cash donations for the Calgary Food Bank.

In 2007, Fame for Food in Calgary raised $256,224 in cash and food donations. This year, Citytv is looking to reach our $275,000 target and help the Calgary Food Bank feed struggling families. For every $1 dollar donated, the Food Bank can distribute $4 dollars worth of food to those in need.
