The Search Is On For The Next Top Model

CTV begins its nationwide search to find CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. The hugely popular Canadian reality series returns for a third cycle. Do you think you have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modelling? To enter, you must be female, between the ages of 18-23 (by Friday, January 30, 2009), a Canadian citizen and/or permanent resident of Canada, and at least 5'8" in height. Plus, participants must be prepared to spend five weeks away from family and friends and not be locked in a current modelling contract. Deadline for applications is Monday, December 22, 2008.

New this year, in addition to mail delivery, hopefuls now have the option of submitting their application packages online.

The series seeks 10 young women who will vie for an incredible grand prize that includes a $100,000 beauty contract.

CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL hits the airwaves in the summer of 2009 for its eight-week run on CTV and will provide dramatic twists and turns as participants compete to master the skills essential in the profession. The aspiring models will live together as they learn the ins-and-outs of the fashion industry from leading fashion experts.

Each one-hour episode is built around an important aspect of the modelling profession. Participants must demonstrate both inner and outer beauty as they learn to master the catwalk, fashion photo shoots and deal with the glare of the media, all under the watchful eye of surveillance cameras that chronicle every move. One cast member will be eliminated each week and the last model standing will win the coveted title of CANADA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.
