Bret Michaels (born Bret Michael Sychak, March 15, 1963) is best known as the hard-rocking lead vocalist and founder of everyone's favourite 80s hair-metal band, Poison.
Forming the band under the original name, Paris, the band changed the name after angry parents were protesting that rock music was "poisoning" the lives of their children. The band was the fourth best selling act in America during the height of their fame during the late 80s and into the early 90s.
After many more albums, line-up changes and very public conflicts with producers and each other, Poison continues to sell world-wide. Bret Michaels has branched out into solo projects, including staring in the reality show, Rock of Love.
