Courage in Red – One of the most unique things about the RCMP is that they serve very remote, northern communities. The remote experience is one that is all about commitment and extremes — extremes in climate, isolation and working conditions. For those who serve in the North, it becomes their way of life. They live as the people do. They immerse themselves in the culture and they get out onto the land.
Follow these members, as they face the many unique challenges of policing in the North. Courage In Red gives Canadians the opportunity to meet the men and women of the RCMP and hear their stories. This series comes at a critical and fascinating time in the force`s history: the RCMP is evolving to address the changing nature of crime in the 21st century. Emerging priorities, tactics and technology – from front line policing to covert units – the force is transforming, making an exploration of it all the more interesting.
