Honesty About His Mystery Is What Makes James Blunt

James Blunt.

And while he's not a super spy, he does have some secrets.

The U.K. musician who hit it big with "You're Beautiful" has steadfastly refused to say who the 'you' in the song really is.

"I'm not prepared to tell you because I'll get into loads of trouble," he laughs. "There's a lot of media attention where sometimes it's peculiar if it's to do with things like my private life. That I don't think is necessary."

Then there's "Goodbye My Lover", a song that actually topped a bizarre British list of the tunes people most often request at funerals.

That's got Blunt baffled. "I want to know who was the weirdo doing the surveys at all these funerals?" he wonders.

But there's one other secret you may never have known about the classic hit - it was recorded in a bathroom.

"It was a very nice bathroom," he jokes. "People sing in the shower, and so we had run out of money. We couldn't record in an expensive studio while making this album and so I knew there was a piano where I stayed in the bathroom and we recorded it there and the outcome is great."

Another secret he has yet to explain: who puts a piano in their bathroom?

There's no mystery about where you can see Blunt in performance though. His "Live at the Rehearsal Hall" airs on Bravo! November 7th at 10pm.
