Underworld: Awakening topped the weekend box office, raking in  $25.4 million, according to website BoxOfficeMojo.com.

Red Tails and Contraband rounded out the top three. Red Tails, the story of African-American fighter pilots during World War II, took in $19.1 million, while Contraband netted $12.2 million.

Mark Wahlberg stars in the thriller, playing a reformed smuggler who takes on one last heist to help pay off his brother-in-law’s debt.

Red Tails is partially based on the true story of the Tuskegee Airmen, and stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard.

Underworld: Awakening is a decidedly untrue story detailing the battle between humans and vampires and werewolves. The fourth installment of the Underworld series was shot in 3D.
