‘Chronicle,’ ‘The Woman in Black,’ top weekend box office

Action film Chronicle topped the weekend box office, taking in US $22million.

It was a tight race at the movie theatre, with the number-one and number-two movies separated by just one million dollars.

The Woman in Black, a horror film starring Daniel Radcliffe, raked in $21 million.

According to the website BoxOfficeMojo.com, it was the first time in history that two movies opened above $20 million against the Super Bowl.

The Grey, starring Liam Neeson, rounded out the top three, taking in $9.5 million.
