Sounds Like a Revolution is an inspiring documentary about the
current state of protest and activist music. Featuring interviews with
the likes of David Crosby, Henry Rollins, Tom Morello of Rage Against
the Machine, and Fat Mike from NOFX, the film is educational,
entertaining, and full of moments that will leave music fans in awe
(hearing Crosby talk about sitting beside Neil Young as he wrote "Ohio",
his song about the shootings at Kent State on May 4, 1970, is so
powerful that it gave me goosebumps).
Toronto-based director of
Sounds Like a Revolution, Summer Love, took time out of her NXNE
schedule last week (where the film had its world premiere) to speak with
CityNews.ca about why she wanted to make the film now and what she

Like a Revolution opens in Toronto on June 25 at The Royal. Radio DJ
Alan Cross (The Ongoing History of New Music, ExploreMusic) will
introduce the screening on June 25 at 7 p.m. with the filmmakers in
attendance for a Q&A afterward. The screenings on June 26 and 27
will feature an acoustic performance by Justin Sane of Anti-Flag as well
