New Jersey Rockers The Parlor Mob Bring Much-Hyped Live Act To The Bovine

Two things are unlikely to happen during The Parlor Mob's career.

Firstly, the band's music will never be heard without inviting comparisons to Led Zeppelin and second, nobody who watches them perform live will fail to be entertained.

That much was proven Saturday night, when the New Jersey-based quintet played its second consecutive Toronto date at the Bovine Sex Club, following a Thursday show at Sound Academy.

A little over a year removed from its debut Roadrunner Records release And You Were A Crow (which was produced by Jacquire King of Modest Mouse and Kings Of Leon fame) The Parlor Mob is set for a summer of festival dates starting with Michigan's Rothbury on July 5.

But at the Bovine, packed in tight with sweat dripping and booze flowing, the show was a face-melting, Fender-shredding rock out that went a long way in clearing up why some have dubbed this a 'must-see' live band.

David Rosen and Nick Villapiano also sat down at a rather loud Black Bull earlier Saturday to talk about the record, festival season and what it means to be from New Jersey.
