Death metal certainly isn't for everyone, but it is for a lot of people, and a lot of those people love Detroit’s The Black Dahlia Murder.

The band, touring behind fresh fourth release Deflorate, stopped by The Sound Academy Saturday night, where a lineup of some of music’s most dedicated fans extended from the doors in mid-afternoon rain.

And while that might surprise some, it shouldn’t.

The band is not only touring in support of the new disc, but riding the wave of success created by their tour DVD Majesty, which was recently certified Gold in Canada.

sat down with Trevor and Ryan from the band to talk about all things BDM.
