Tuesday in downtown Toronto roughly 50 recording artists - including everyone from Sass Jordan to Arkells to Chantal Kreviazuk - took to the streets, busking for War Child Canada, a charity that aids kids trapped in war zones.
The event increased its collective efforts in its second year after being launched by Kreviazuk’s husband, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace.
Donations seemed plentiful, and we observed one GTA company, TimeTECH, who raised $300 internally for the event by dressing down on casual Fridays. (See rep Michael Williams handing over the cheque below).
CityNews.ca also caught up with Neverending White Lights (pictured, top) and Hollerado (below) doing their part for the cause at Commerce Court over the course of an incredibly windy afternoon.
