G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks has reportedly been charged after a Toronto show promoter was allegedly held against his will, beaten and robbed early Saturday morning.

Banks, whose real name is Christopher Lloyd, was to appear at a bail hearing in Kitchener Monday.

The charges stem from the alleged incident, which involved three Banks associates and promoter Chris Hines, 36, inside a Kitchener hotel and after a poorly-attended show at Club NV in Brantford, On.

Banks, 27, and his associates, Tyrell Cooper, 24, Nicklas Sloane, 25 and Shaun McGee, 31, all New Yorkers, stand charged with forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery following the dispute which allegedly stemmed from Banks’ performance fee.

Police statements relay that Hines was beaten, robbed and held for an hour in a hotel room. He was later treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries at a nearby hospital and released.
