Toronto rapper Drake has smashed a Billboard record for number-one rap singles – a title formerly held by Sean Combs, aka P. Diddy.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, has 11 number-one singles on the rap charts, the most in Billboard’s 23-year history of tracking rap.

Diddy previously had 10 number-one singles. It was Make Me Proud, a collaboration with rapper and fellow Young Money label mate Nicki Minaj, that broke that record.

Drakes first album, “Thank Me Later,” came out in March 2010 and was followed by “Take Care” in November, 2011.

Between those two albums, he racked up the following number-one singles:
  • Best I Ever Had
  • Forever
  • Say Something
  • Over
  • Fancy
  • Right Above It
  • Aston Martin Music
  • Moment 4 Life
  • I’m On One
  • Headlines
  • Make Me Proud

But Drake may soon have some competition: Make Me Proud is Minaj’s third number-one single.
