Luxury retailer Tory Burch is coming to Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the company said Friday.

It will be the first Canadian store for the American brand, which is known for its preppy clothes and ballet flats emblazoned with the Tory Burch logo.

The 232-square-metre space (2,500 square feet) will open in May, and will carry ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, eyewear, jewelry and small leather goods.

The store will also have a nook stocked with iPads and books for weary shoppers.

Several other American retailers made their Canadian debut at Yorkdale, including J. Crew, Michael Kors, Apple, and Crate and Barrel.
