Police Identify Housekeeper Murdered In Mississauga Mansion As Wall Of Silence Descends On Case

The Filipino-Canadian community came together Saturday and rallied behind the family of a murdered woman who worked as a maid in Mississauga.

Jocelyn Dulnuan, 27, was found dead in a white mansion on Doulton Place, in the Dundas St. W. and Mississauga Road area last Monday. A native of the Philippines, Dulnuan came to Canada on a work permit in 2006. She had held various jobs working as a nanny since then, and had only been working for the Mississauga family for the past couple of months.

Hundreds turned out at the fundraiser to help Dulnuan's family. Altogether they raised close to $10,000.

"The funds that we're raising will go toward funeral costs and any extra will go to the child," explained Imie Belanger, a friend of the family. Dulnuan has a three-year-old daughter in the Philippines.

Very few details are known about the circumstances surrounding her death, except that police received a phone call from someone in the residence around 5pm that day, after her body was discovered. Authorities haven't made any arrests yet.

Investigators are pleading for any clues they may have missed or anyone who may have known the victim. If you can help with the investigation, call (905) 453-2121 ext. 4027.
