IKEA is recalling one of its high chairs due to a problem with a safety belt.

The company is urging people with its Antilop high chair to stop using it immediately and return it to an IKEA location to receive a replacement safety belt. The recall comes amid reports of the belt opening unexpectedly, creating a fall hazard.

There have been no reports of injuries in Canada, but the company is aware of eight instances of the safety belt opening and three incidents in which kids fell out of the chair and suffered minor injuries.

The high chairs were sold globally between July 2006 and November 2009 for $19.99—36,000 units were sold in Canada. The affected product is from supplier 17389 and a production date 0607-0911(YYMM).

Contact IKEA at 1-800-661-9807 for more information or visit the website.
