A company that manufactures child seats believes it can protect your children better on the roads using a unique technology.
Based on numbers that reveal about 23 per cent of all collisions are side-impact, Safety 1st developed a new car seat to cushion the blow to a child's head.
The device has multiple chambers of air and foam. When the padding compresses, air escapes, reducing the impact to the head.
The car seat costs about $300 and will be available for sale in September.
