I had my fifth chemo on Thursday, I can't believe it
but I only have one left now. August 19 will be my sixth and final
"cocktail." I'm thrilled. I'm so close to being done with this part of
my treatment. I'm not really thinking about surgery yet (either a
partial or full mastectomy) or the radiation and reconstruction that
will follow. I have just been focusing on getting through the chemo,
then I will take on the next hurdle - and I will be ready for it!!! So
far I feel pretty good, just tired. I have gone for a couple of walks
and then rested in bed or on my porch. I'm very mellow and content.
I'm preparing and waiting for the pain to come, and also hoping that it
won't be as bad this time. If it is, so be it. The lump is shrinking,
it's worth it.
The first photo is of my best friend Martha and I at Princess Margaret Hospital on Thursday as my chemo works its magic.
Take a look at the next picture - how do you like me
in pink?? On my way to chemo I took part in a photo shoot to promote
the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday
Oct 3rd. BT's Frank Ferragine and Jennifer Valentyne also sported the
wig, as did CityLine's Tracy Moore. Citytv and OMNI are proud
sponsors and I plan on running!! Here is the website if you are
interested in joining in this great event. Come on out and let's kick
cancer in the butt together!!! www.cbcf.org.

I will send another update soon, have a great long weekend everyone.
