The Foods That Can Help Prevent Breast Cancer

Millions of dollars and countless years have gone into the search for a breast cancer cure.  So far, those valiant efforts haven't eradicated the potentially fatal disease.  But experts contend that eating certain foods can help prevent breast cancer from developing in the first place, and they advise eating healthy doses of the following foods:

  • Cabbage
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Kale

"They include an ingredient called Indole 3 Carbinol, that helps to block cancer growth," explains Julie Daniluk, The Big Carrot.

Raspberries and Blueberries are also helpful.

"They are very good for reducing inflammation in the body and boosting the immune system."

Tomatoes, olive oil and green tea are also highly touted for their health benefits.

Experts also say there are also certain things you should avoid, like diets high in sugar, fat and alcohol.
