The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people not to consume a brand of hot dogs due to possible listeria contamination.

Glatt’s Beef Frankfurters Jumbo BBQ are being recalled. They’re sold in 375 g packages with the UPC 0 55627 00203 6 and best before date of 12AL21.

The hot dogs, made by Glatt's Kosher Meat Products, were sold across Ontario and Quebec. There have been no reports of illness associated with the recall.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can cause serious illness. Symptoms of listeriosis include high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. The illness is particularly serious for pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems.

Call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342 for more information
