Female Baldness Part Three: The New Look

Katrina LeCavalier is pretty sick of the wig she's been wearing since June.

"It's very itchy. It's heavy on your head and it's just annoying to keep putting it on and off, on and off."

She won't have to do that much longer. LeCavalier contacted Citytv after we ran a story on LeMetric hair clinic.

"Until I read on your web site about this, and I was like, wow, there's actually other people out there that are going through something like this, like me. I didn't know. I had no clue," she says breathlessly.

Elline Surianello, founder of LeMetric, was so touched, she decided to donate a more realistic hairpiece.

"I'm so excited to get this mop off my head," LeCavalier said. Surianello knows exactly where she's coming from - she lost her hair when she was about the same age.  The new hair cap is attached to a featherweight mesh, and can be worn for 24 hours straight.

LeCavalier's reaction? "I love it. I just - I feel-- like it feels like my hair. It's just-- I feel pretty again; like it's like Katrina."

Her boyfriend was on hand to admire the new look, and as for the old wig? LeCavalier will be donating it to Princess Margaret Hospital.
