Toronto hospitals are getting ready now should a third wave of the H1N1 influenza hit the city and the province.
Some of the 200 additional ventilators purchased by the province to be distributed among Toronto area hospitals were on display at St. Michael’s Friday.
The provincial government bought the equipment if rates of the pandemic flu spike again.
This is also the first weekend H1N1 flu shots will be available to the general public at immunization clinics and at physician’s offices.
Toronto Public Health has also
updated its website, providing approximate wait times at each clinic.
