NutriSystem has voluntarily recalled one of its products due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the company are warning people not to eat NutriSystem Peanut Butter Granola Bars. They’re sold in 40 g packages with the UPC 6 32674 37016 7 and lot code TC05219B.

The affected product is sold exclusively by NutriSystem and by the Shopping Channel.

So far, there have been no reports of illness.

Salmonella can cause serious illness in kids and people with weakened immune systems. In healthy people, it can cause short-term symptoms including fever, severe headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Severe arthritis is a potential long-term complication, the CFIA says.

For more information on the recall, call NutriSystem Canada at 1-877-368-8446 or the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342.
