On Friday, one year to the day a giant fire broke out in a junkyard near Weston and Rogers roads, another blaze engulfed the sprawling scrap yard.

A two-alarm fire turned the scrap yard into more junk and loads of smoke on Hyde Avenue Friday sending giant plumes of black smoke stretching across the sky around 3:30pm.

Local resident Edward Praticante says he saw the fire start as cars were being demolished.

"As soon as he dropped that car it was like World War 3. The whole thing ignited and things were flying," he said.

Twenty firefighters were on the scene to combat the blaze.

Area residents are upset that yet another fire has occured at the same location and are calling for an investigation into the cause.

No injuries have been reported.
